Self-care – Dedicate the time to you
According to the World Health Organisation Self-care is the ability of individuals, families and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a health worker.
It means taking care of your physical, nutritional, emotional, spiritual needs as a whole and find time to relax and have enough sleep on a daily basis.
Working on your self care – how to go about it.
- Taking care of your physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing – ensuring that you have time to rest and enjoy yourself within your private life as well as work life.

- Time for you and doing something for yourself to relax and feel better.
- It’s the practice of protecting one’s own wellbeing and happiness, in especially during periods of stress.

- Eating balanced meals taking enough rest days, doing things that calm you and make you happy
- Doing things you enjoy, read books for fun, going on walks and connect with nature.
